Remote Door Opener.

 
 

Goals

  • Design and manufacture a remote door opener that can be accessed via phone and unlock my door

  • Implement a Raspberry Pi with a servo motor, hosting a server that can be controlled remotely

Contributions

  • Fully designed and manufactured myself using Fusion360, FDM printing, and a soldering iron

  • Coding of the website (HTML/CSS) as well as the server hosting and servo actuation (Python)

  • Integrated a Siri command for hands-free access

  • Quality assurance, testing the prototype over 100 cycles

Results

  • A completely remote door opener, accessible by phone
