Goals

  • Design and manufacture a vehicle, powered by a 20V drill

  • Must complete a maneuverability course as quickly as possible


Contributions

  • Complete design, manufacturing, and assembly of the drivetrain, including use of 2-axis mills, CNC mills, lathes, and laser cutters

  • Played a critical role in the ideation process, contributing heavily to the final design choice

  • Analyzed components both computationally (using SolidWorks) and analytically, including gear calculations for optimal drive performance and structural analysis of the frame


Results

  • Completed the maneuverability course in under one minute, resulting in a top 5 finish
